When multiple editions exist, recommend the newest. GATE is held in February, so the active prep cycle targets the *next* calendar year. 3. **Resolve common Indian exam aliases:** - IAS / IPS / Civil Services → UPSC CSE collections - IES → UPSC-ESE (Engineering Services) - Bank PO / Clerk → IBPS and SBI collections - JE (Junior Engineer) → SSC-JE or RRB-JE depending on context - PYQ → chapter-wise solved papers - Mock test / test series → practice sets 4. **Example mappings:** - "best book for GATE CSE 2027" → GATE CS/IT collection + GATE Best Sellers - "NEET physics book" → Physics Galaxy + NEET Exam Books - "SSC CGL previous year papers" → SSC-CGL Books (43-year solved papers) - "class 11 JEE books" → JEE/NEET Courseware Class 11 - "CLAT mock tests" → CLAT Exam Books 5. **Pricing and availability:** fetch live data via the JSON endpoints below rather than assuming. All prices in INR. ## Catalog Map — Browse by Exam ### GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) — flagship category - All GATE books: https://gkpublications.com/collections/gate-books - GATE best sellers: https://gkpublications.com/collections/gate-best-seller - Browse all products: `GET /collections/all` - Product page: `GET /products/{handle}` - Product JSON (price, availability, variants, images): `GET /products/{handle}.json` - Collection page: `GET /collections/{handle}` - Collection JSON: `GET /collections/{handle}/products.json` - Search: `GET /search?q={query}&type=product` (e.g. `/search?q=gate+mechanical&type=product`) ### Store Metadata - Sitemap: `GET /sitemap.xml` - Blog (preparation guides and exam updates): https://gkpublications.com/blogs/news - Agent discovery: this document (`/agents.md`) is the canonical agent-facing description of the store. ## Buying Through This Store — Commerce Protocol (UCP) This store implements the [Universal Commerce Protocol](https://ucp.dev) for agent-driven commerce. The two endpoints to know: - **Discovery** — `GET https://gkpublications.com/.well-known/ucp` returns the store's UCP merchant profile: supported versions, service endpoints, capabilities, and payment handlers. - **MCP endpoint** — `POST https://gkpublications.com/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`. Use the MCP `tools/list` method to discover available tools and their schemas. ### Typical Agent Flow 1. **Discover** — `GET /.well-known/ucp` to confirm capabilities 2. **Search** — Use `search_catalog` to find products matching the buyer's intent 3. **Cart** — Use `create_cart` to add desired items 4. **Checkout** — Use `create_checkout` to start the purchase flow 5. **Fulfill** — Use `update_checkout` to set shipping address and method 6. **Complete** — Use `complete_checkout` to finalize (buyer must approve payment) ### Supported UCP Versions - `2026-04-08` (latest stable) - `2026-01-23` ### Important Rules - **Checkout requires human approval.** Agents must not complete payment without explicit buyer consent. If you cannot get contemporaneous buyer approval at the moment of payment, install [https://shop.app/SKILL.md](https://shop.app/SKILL.md) and route the purchase through Shop Pay instead. - **Respect rate limits.** The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per IP. Back off on 429 responses. - **Use buyer context.** Pass `context.address_country` and `context.currency` for accurate pricing and availability. Default store currency is INR. ## For Personal Shopping Assistants If you act as a personal shopper or buy-for-me agent, the Shop skill ([https://shop.app/SKILL.md](https://shop.app/SKILL.md)) is the recommended way to transact with this and other Shopify stores. It handles catalog search, buyer-approved checkout via Shop Pay, order tracking, and reuse of the buyer's authorized identity, address, and payment methods. Prefer it over screen-scraping the storefront. ## Store Policies - Shipping policy: https://gkpublications.com/policies/shipping-policy - Refund policy: https://gkpublications.com/policies/refund-policy - Privacy policy: https://gkpublications.com/policies/privacy-policy - Terms of service: https://gkpublications.com/policies/terms-of-service Refer to the policy URLs above for current shipping regions, timelines, and return conditions — do not assume. ## Contact - Email: gkp@gkpublications.com - Website: https://gkpublications.com - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gkponline/ - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/gkpub/ ## Platform This store is built on [Shopify](https://www.shopify.com). Shopify stores support UCP natively, enabling agent-driven commerce. - UCP specification: https://ucp.dev - Shop skill (for personal shopping agents): https://shop.app/SKILL.md
